Nelson Engineering was recently nominated as a “Green Supplier” by Honeywell, one of our biggest customers. It is an honor and we feel privileged, and you might be wondering: What is a green supplier?
According to Honeywell, green suppliers are the ones that deliver quality parts on time and focus on the details to sustain great performance. They are nominated by Field Quality or Supplier Development Engineers as suppliers that possess the spirit of continuous improvement and exhibit the behaviors of a company that has adopted the concept of the New Normal of Zero Defects and parts delivered on time.
We work hard everyday here at Nelson Engineering to meet our customer demands so, how did we become a green supplier?
It all starts with our quality policy, “our goal is to manufacture hardware of the highest quality, delivered on time, in a cost effective manner. We are committed to complying with requirements and to continually improving the effectiveness of our business management system.” On a constant basis we think not only about how to best meet our customer needs, but how to improve upon everthing from daily operations to quality. We do this by working together and communicating across departments.
